Diamond Blackberry
Posted September 10th, 2008

Diamond phone

If you have a spare $25k+ laying around and want to make an extravagant purchase Amosu is making a diamond Blackberry Pearl. It features 61 diamonds totaling .76 carats. It can come in 14k white gold, 14k yellow gold or platinum. Each phone is custom made to your specifications. There is a option for a special concierge service (this is extra on top of the phone price) that will get your yacht chartered or get you restaurant reservations and such. This is not an investment we think is smart but it sure will make you extra “blinged” out We can see P-Didy or Kimbora Lee Simmons with this phone. Personally we think it is extravagant and obnoxious. We would much rather have a piece of diamond jewelry, car or money in the bank then a diamond blackberry.

Item of the Week: Kenneth Jay Lane Watch Pendant
Posted July 3rd, 2008

It’s easy to leave a watch out of the ensemble you’re wearing, but Kenneth Jay Lane’s Maltese Crystal Watch Pendant makes it enticing to wear the time once again. Pocketwatches may have introduced the concept of a watch hanging from a chain, but a necklace with a watch is the latest revamping of a familiar piece of clockwork.

The Maltese Crystal Watch Pendant is an exciting piece of jewelry not only because of its versatility - sold with either a silver or gold tone pendant, you can wear this to a formal occasion and forego a watch or cell phone and take the night as it comes - but also for its unique design. The face of the watch is surrounded by four arms of a cross and a star. The surface of the setting has genuine raised Swarovski crystals, which make this fantastic piece even more fabulous.

In Focus: The Price of Gold
Posted June 30th, 2008

The price of gold has been rising in the past year, making our favorite jewelry staple less affordable. The Commonwealth Bank has just anticipated that the price of gold will continue to fluctuate until September. With the US dollar in the state that it is and the price of gold rising, it’s time to find alternatives, in order to protect our pocketbooks and our fashion sense.

Ettika offers a multitude of casual and fun designs, from Hamsa necklaces to peace sign rosaries.

For bangle lovers, Blu’s Neon Bangle Set is an extraordinary display of eye-catching, technicolor style. These bangles are the perfect summer accessory and can be paired with a cute summery dress or used to dress down evening attire.

Another elegant substitute for gold is silver. Christie Martin’s Silver Graffiti Ring combines the best of both worlds: the elegance of silver with the youthfulness of graffiti type. This ring can also be personalized.

With so many great alternatives to gold available, it’s hard to understand why it takes the crisis of rising prices in order for us to explore unusual jewelry!
